Starting to Relax

WEATHER:  Torrential Rain Overnight, giving way to sunshine and more warm weather

Jannie at "The Farm"

We awoke Wednesday morning to torrential rain, and a gloomy start to the day.  However, within a short period of time the sun reappeared giving us the incentive to continue our adventure.  However, before starting we were told that we would have to pay for our lodging at the "Farm."  Being senior citizens on a fixed income we had little option, so Jannie offered to help in the fields.

Camden Sno Cone
After several hours in the hot sun, I called Jannie in from the fields and we headed into Camden for lunch at the Camden Deli. After again having lunch on the deck overlooking the harbor, we left and immediately headed over to the Camden Sno Cone on Bayview Street for dessert.

Our boat, "Jannie's Ark"
The Schooner Mary Day is scheduled to depart on a 3 day cruise tomorrow morning.  As is the custom, passengers board the vessel the night before.  Boarding time is any time after 4:00 PM, so, as is our custom, we headed over to the boat at around 4:45 PM to check out the passengers.  It was great to sit on the deck of the Schooner Mary Day and gaze across the harbor at our own little boat.  Our own cruise departs Camden ob this coming Monday morning, August 6th, so we will board on Sunday night.

The Schooner Mary Day
We finally pulled ourselves away, leaving the Schooner Mary Day safely secured at her dock, and headed back to Appleton, or as we refer to it,  "The Farm."
